The Inter-Strategic Business Units Games (iSBUG) are a much anticipated Group-wide event in Keppel's annual calendar. First convened by KSAA in 2003, the iSBUG seeks to promote a healthy lifestyle, foster interaction, as well as strengthen cohesiveness among Keppelites.

The line-up of events for this year includes all-time favourites like golf, darts, basketball, 8-ball pool, bowling and badminton. The Flag Design Competition, the Most Valuable Player Awards and the grand finale vertical marathon were introduced last year, receiving positive response from Keppelites and are back by popular demand.

Keppelites can also look forward to a novel event – futsal. This is a five-a-side indoor soccer game that replaces the traditional 7-a-side soccer and for the first time, female Keppelites will have the opportunity to compete in this event. Traditionally, the 7-a-side soccer game was fielded by male Keppelites only.

In addition, the iSBUG teams have been restructured to ensure a better mix of SBUs. Signifying a new start for each team, names of oceans and seas – Caribbean, Atlantic, Caspian and Pacific – have been adopted to remind Keppelites to keep a global mindset and to “venture beyond” their comfort zones.

KSAA is confident the Games will continue to garner management support and stoke up Keppelites' enthusiasm for Group-wide activities.
