| CAN-DO the distance! ~ New Name, New Game, New Finale! |
Inter-Business Unit Games (ISBUG) has a new name! From this year onwards, ISBUG will be renamed as "Keppel Games" to better reflect its game nature as a Group-wide event. With the new name, the organising committee seeks to underscore the intent of inculcating sportsmanship amongst Keppelites, to increase their close association with the various games and provide platforms for cross-business unit interactions through friendly competition.
Given the international success of Team Singapore at the Olympic Games and the growing popularity of the sport in Singapore, Table Tennis will be added to the existing list of game events for Keppel Games 2009. The addition of Table Tennis as an event will allow more Keppelites to take part in Keppel Games 2009 and promote interest in the sport in line with its growing prominence as a national sport.
The new finale event "Kep-Walk!" will also be introduced in Keppel Games 2009. "Kep-Walk!" is a walk cum run event that includes both a competitive "running" category as well as a non-competitive "walking" category. This event seeks not only to imbue the spirit of Keppel's Can-Do! spirit, but also to get fellow Keppelites to Can-Do the distance as one!
